I based my subject matter on God of the Sea and Guardian of the Afterlife, Manannan Mac Lir or also known in Wales/Cymru as Manawydan fab Llŷr. I included the cormorant, a native to the Welsh coast and also a nod to Neptune’s Horses, an iconic piece of art that I adore.
